Large Zeeland paeremes with an allegorical representation of a putti and people on the handle, made by the firm of JP Niekerk from Schoonhoven. Active from 1901 to 1943.

The wearer's status was measured by the knife they carried. This knife, therefore, indicated high status.

The knife is hallmarked with master stamp N10 and a tax stamp used between 1906 and 1953.

As a crowning achievement, a little dog which symbolizes loyalty.

The steel blade was added later, meaning the knife can still be used today.
