Rare silver fork from the silversmith Anthonie Janse (De Bree, 256) from Middelburg. Made in 1790. Silver from Middelburg is no longer common due to the large compulsory return campaign during the Batavian Republic (1795).
The fork (especially the tines) are in a used condition.
Marked with the Middelburg city hallmark, including year letter of 1790 and master's mark.
