Are you looking for a refined piece of Dutch silver for your collection?
This antique silver tea scoop stands out with its detailed engravings on both the bowl and the handle. The scoop was made around 1890 in the famous silver city of Schoonhoven and is in excellent condition.

The makers of this finely crafted scoop are the respected Schoonhoven silversmiths Arie & Jan Driesen (firm A. & J. Driesen). This object dates from around 1890 and is a splendid example of the artisanal scoop work for which Schoonhoven has been renowned for centuries.

The tea caddy spoon is clearly marked with the official Dutch hallmarks:
  • Maker's Mark: AJ above D. in a square (A. & J. Driesen)
  • Fineness and Assay Mark: The antique Dutch tax and fineness mark 'Zwaardje' (used for small silver objects until 1905).
