Are you looking for an elegant and timeless piece of Dutch small silver from around the turn of the century?
This beautiful antique silver tea scoop immediately stands out due to its sleek, smooth bowl and the refined beaded edge (beaded edge motif) along the entire stem and handle. The scoop was forged in Amsterdam in 1904 and is in excellent condition.

The maker of this high-quality piece of cutlery is the renowned Amsterdam silversmith Johannes Albertus Gerritsen (the later founder of the famous Frisian silver factory Gerritsen). This object dates from 1904 and reflects the transitional period in which sleek classical designs were combined with the top quality of Amsterdam's silver craftsmanship. Weighing 18.5 grams, the spoon also feels very solid.

The tea scoop is clearly hallmarked with the official Dutch marks:
  • Maker's Mark: JAAG in a rectangle (J.A. Gerritsen, Amsterdam)
