Silver Biedermeier teapot with brazier, made by the silversmith Nanno Folmer from Groningen. He was active from 1830 to 1867.
The Biedermeier style teapot engraved with curls and leaf motifs has a wooden handle and a flower as a crowning. The matching brazier is also beautifully engraved and stands on 4 legs. The brazier consists of 3 parts. Silver inlay ring, silver pot with wick and the brazier itself.
All parts of the set are hallmarked with the second content hallmark, master hallmark NF4, date letter V for 1855 and the Minerva head. The silver ring is hallmarked with master hallmark BO2 for the silversmith B. Oving from Groningen. He worked from 1871 to 1905. The silver ring has date letter x for 1882.
The set is in good condition. The spout of the teapot has a small dent.
Total weight: 621 grams. Dimensions: 24 cm high, 26.5 cm long and 14 cm wide.
