Silver purse handle (parrots), E. van Sandbergen, Zutphen.

Velvet bag with silver parrot clasp, made in Zutphen by the silversmith Evert van Sandbergen. He worked from 1792 to 1851. He was the son of the silversmith Anthony van Sandbergen. He succeeded his mother who had continued his father's business in the Sprongstraat between 1800 and 1807.

The bag handle features parrots with a basket in the center under the knob.

The bracket is approved with the master mark ES under a diamond and the tax mark V.

A carrying chain is attached to the bag handle.

The bracket bag is in good condition.
