Silver purse handle (parrots), B. Klip, Schoonhoven, 1802

Antique silver purse clasp made by silversmith Bartholomeus Klip from Schoonhoven. He was active from 1786.

The bracket is decorated with images of parrots. That is why it is popularly called a parrot bracket.

The bracket is hallmarked with the master hallmark BK, City hallmark of Schoonhoven and date letter I for 1802.

The bag bracket is in excellent condition.

The initials JVW and MvE are engraved on the inside.
