19th Century silver clasp bag with bag hook by the silversmith AJ de Ruiter from Amsterdam. This silversmith was active from 1874 to 1900. The clasp is possibly by the silversmith C. Murk from Schoonhoven. This silversmith was active from 1882 to 1897.
The silver bracket is cast and therefore heavy and solid. Apart from a few spots, the bead bag is also still in good condition. On the hook is a man figure with a scythe and a bunch of grapes. The closing button is provided with a stork.
The bracket and bag hook are provided with various pseudo-marks to give the impression that it was an 18th century bag bracket. The hook is marked with 3AdR as master mark, the bag bracket with CM. Also Minerva head, second content mark and date letter G of 1891.
