18th A century-old silver purse made by Lucas Oling (Voet B 145) from Leeuwarden. This silversmith worked from 1779 to 1806.

This silversmith was also ensign of the Oost-Minnema-espel in 1785. As a token of appreciation for his brave actions, his marksmen presented him with a silver medal in 1786. He became a scoutmaster in 1791.

The silver bracket features a passionate depiction of all four evangelists: Matthew (with angel figure), Mark (with lion), Luke (with ox) and John (with eagle).

The smooth back is engraved with the maker's mark LO, the initials BJ, and the year 1796. A silver jasseron chain is attached to the clasp.

The petit point bag is in excellent condition.
