Silver bag bracket, D. de Jong Wzn / Groningen, 20th century

Silver bag bracket on a velvet bag with floral pattern. The silver bracket features images of various old Dutch landscapes. A skating, hunting and farming scene.

The bracket was made by master blacksmith D. de Jong Wzn from Groningen. He worked from 1899 to 1942.

The silver bracket has various hallmarks: Second content hallmark, minerva head, year letter F for 1915 and the master hallmark DJ.

The bag bracket has a silver jasseron chain. The bag is probably original and in reasonable condition. (starts to fray at the bottom)

The bracket closes with a snap closure.
