Beautifully crafted Dutch silver fish knives with an elegant beaded edge, made by the firm J.M. van Kempen from Voorschoten. This renowned silver company used the relevant maker's mark during the period 1858–1924, dating these knives to the late 19th or early 20th century.

The fish knives are hallmarked with the maker's mark VK with a crescent moon and the sword 835, which stands for second grade silver (835/1000). Both are in good condition and are finely finished, with a decorative edge characteristic of quality Dutch table silver from this period. The original cassette from the firm C. van Tilburg den Boer from Zierikzee is still present.

With a length of approximately 15 cm and a weight of 49.5 grams, these are solidly made knives, suitable for both practical use and collection.
