Silver tobacco box, C. van Gelderen Pzn, Schoonhoven, 19th century

Silver tobacco box made by the silversmith C. van Gelderen from Schoonhoven. Active from 1840 to 1873.

The tobacco box is marked with master mark G67, second quality mark, year letter x for 1857 and the miner's head.

The front of the tobacco box shows 2 gentlemen with the word tobacco depicted between them. On the inside are the initials K. vd K.

The tobacco box has a dent on the right back. (See also the photos)
