Silver tobacco box, C. van Dam Kooyman, Schoonhoven, 1857

Silver tobacco box made by Cornelis van Dam Kooyman from Schoonhoven. Active from 1812 to 1862 in Schoonhoven.

The tobacco box is marked with master mark DK2, second fineness mark, year letter X for 1857 and Minerva head.

The front of the tobacco box features a colonnade with engraved scroll and leaf motifs.

The inscription on the inside reads: GJT 4 Dec, 1860, GH Pieperiet.

The tobacco box has a small damage on the front. (A hole in the left corner)
