18th century Frisian silver sugar spoon made by the silversmith Johannes Feddema, active in Leeuwarden from 1780 (Voet 529 / B151).

The bowl of the spoon is openworked with a passionate biblical depiction of Esther's audience with King Ahosuerus, where she invites the king for a meal with her and Haman.

The stem is crowned with a bird figure.

Hallmarked with the master's mark "IF" by Johannes Feddema. From 1799, he was a guild hallmarker in Leeuwarden.

Dating: ca. 1790.

Weight: 31.3 grams. Length: 12.5 cm. Width: 8.5 cm.
