Silver sprinkling spoon with an openwork bowl, made by the silversmith Jan van Erkel from Haarlem. He was active from 1717 to 1748.

The spoon has a playing child as a crown and was used to sprinkle sugar, but could also be used to scoop up wet fruit.

The spreading spoon is marked with the master mark oak leaf (V 100).

The spoon is engraved with the initials GS and the year 1750.

The tub has traces of restoration.
