Silver snuff box, HJ van Halteren / Schoonhoven, 19th century.

^19th century silver snuff box, especially intended for women. Smaller model than what the men used. The silver box contains the initials G. v/d. B on a beautifully decorated lid.

The box is marked VH 33 which stands for the silversmith HJ van Halteren from Schoonhoven. Active from 1837-1863, year letter b for 1861 and the second quality mark.
