Silver tobacco box converted into a jewelry box on 4 claw feet. The labels have ended up under the velvet. Only the year letter on the side is still legible. This is the letter E for 1839.
The front of the box is beautifully engraved with a fantasy decor of interplay of lines.
The inside of the box is lined with black velvet so that the jewelry cannot be damaged.
The initials LMB 1839 are engraved on the inside edge.
