Silver jewelry box, J. & JC Seton / Schoonhoven / 20th century

Silver jewelry or spoon box with velvet interior to protect the jewelry. Made by the brothers J. & JC Seton from Schoonhoven. This maker's mark was used from 1910 – 1935.

Furthermore, the jewelry box has been marked with the second quality mark and the miner's head. The history of Abraham is depicted on the top of the box. In the left image Hagar is sent into the desert with Ishmael and in the right image the sacrifice of Isaac.

Rural farming scenes are depicted on the sides.

The jewelry box rests on 4 legs.
