Silver Schager knife in silver sheath, P. Salm, Hoorn, 19th century

Silver Schager knife in original silver sheath. The steel/iron blade is made in Schagen, recognizable by the boat hook. The knife handle and sheath are made by silversmith P. Salm from Hoorn. Active from 1850 to 1890.

The knife is marked with master mark PS anchor, sheath is marked with PS42. Both master marks were used by P. Salm. Further marked with the sword.

Both the knife handle and the sheath are decorated with a beautiful curl decoration.
