Silver sauce spoon, J. van Vorst, Rotterdam, 1847

Silver gravy or sauce spoon made by the silversmith J. van Vorst from Rotterdam.

He worked from 1840 to 1865.

The spoon is marked with its master mark V*, second fineness mark, Minerva head and date letter N for 1847.

The stem is decorated with curly motifs in the Biedermeier style.

The box measures 5.5 x 7 cm.
