Silver cream spoon made by the silversmith R. Scheltens from Groningen. He was active from 1859.

The cream spoon bears his maker's mark RS2. Also provided with a pseudo-mark.

The bowl of the spoon depicts a female figure, leaning against a pillar with a flower in her hand. This represents Fortitudo (steadfastness). The pillar/column represents support and strength, and self-control in adversity and pain.

The spoon is in good condition.

Weight: 18.6 grams. Dimensions: 5.5 x 10.5 cm.
