Silver cream spoon made by the silversmith R. Scheltens from Groningen. He was active from 1859.

The cream spoon bears his maker's mark RS2. Also marked with a pseudo-hallmark.

On the bowl of the spoon, a female figure is depicted, leaning against a pillar with a flower in her hand. This represents Fortitude (steadfastness). The pillar/column symbolizes support and strength, and self-control in the face of adversity and pain.

The spoon is in good condition.
