Silver cream bowl, J. de Vries, Sneek, ca. 1750

Silver cream bowl from Friesland made by the silversmith Johannes de Vries (Voet 539) from Sneek. He was active from 1738 to 1764.

The bowl is embossed with beautifully chiseled curl and shell motifs

The bowl is hallmarked with master hallmark cloverleaf under a crown. Also hallmarked with Z11 for 2nd grade silver.

There is a small tear in the edge, otherwise in excellent condition.

The diameter of the top is 11 cm. The foot: 5.5 cm. Height: 6 cm.

Weight: 75.2 grams.
