Silver skirt or bag hook, P. van Gelderen, Schoonhoven, ca. 1840

Silver skirt or bag hook made by the silversmith P. van Gelderen from Schoonhoven. He was active from 1837 to 1853.

The skirt hook has a ribbed motif and is marked with the master hallmark: VG17, second grade hallmark and Minerva head.

The initials BvdH are engraved on the hook.

The hook has restoration marks and a small opening of 1 mm in the upper right corner.
