18thcenturysilver knife handle with band decoration, made by the master smith Cornelis Coutrier from Amsterdam. Active from 1730 to 1749. He was a small worker and specialized in jam forks and toys.
Marked on the head of the handle with a shell (master mark of C. Coutrier) and the city mark of Amsterdam. The steel blade is original and also marked with a master mark.
The handle is decorated with a band of rabbits and swans.
