Round silver pipe brazier, attributed to the silversmith J. Hoffen of Breda. Active from 1822 to 1865.
The pipe brazier has a copper inner bowl and stands on an ebony base with bone knobs.
The rim is beautifully engraved in Biedermeier style and shows signs of restoration. The pipe brazier is hallmarked with the second standard hallmark, a Minerva cup, and the date letter N for 1847.
This pipe stove is also hallmarked with the master mark IH.
