Silver peppermint box, A. van de Sluys, Schoonhoven, 1860

Silver peppermint box with a beautiful Biedermeier style decoration on both the lid and the bottom.

The box was made by the silversmith A. van de Sluys from Schoonhoen, who worked from 1857 to 1881.
Marked with master mark AS127, second fineness mark, year letter a of 1860 and Minerva head.

The box has light signs of use.
