- Breathtaking openwork (ajour): The center of the spoon is hand-embellished with a fabulous, openwork (ajour-sawn) pattern featuring lush acanthus leaves and graceful C-scrolls.
- Fine engraving: The raised, wavy edges are decorated with subtle engravings. At the end of the bowl, there is a beautifully engraved floral motif with leaves, providing a magnificent contrast on the gleaming silver.
- Richly decorated, ergonomic handle: The handle curves elegantly upwards and is adorned with fine carving and engraving of floral motifs. The handle ends in a backward-curved, broad grip (fisherman's model style), which fits perfectly in the hand.
- Tasteful draining: The spoon was specifically designed for serving 'wet' or washed fruit, such as fresh strawberries, raspberries, or fruit preserved in syrup.
- Clever design: Thanks to the large, artistic openings in the center of the bowl, excess juice or water drains away immediately when serving. This ensures that you serve only the fruit, preventing the dessert from becoming soggy.
- Amsterdam craftsmanship: Uriot was known for his high-quality small and large silver work. His pieces from the Biedermeier period are cherished for the harmony between sleek forms and exuberant handcraft.
- The maker's mark: This piece is perfectly marked with Uriot's official maker's mark: four dots above the letters P L U in a square.
