Beautiful antique Dutch silver wet fruit scoop from the rare Amsterdam collaboration between Maria ten Fei and Cornelius Kramer Jr.
This unique scoop from 1858 is in excellent antique condition and is a magnificent example of mid-19th-century Amsterdam silversmithing.

This silver collector's item features the characteristic maker's mark J K & Z above a fish in a square. This mark was used between 1855 and 1859 by the firm of Maria ten Fei (widow of J. Kramer) and Cornelius Kramer Jr. in Amsterdam. Due to the very short period in which these silversmiths collaborated under this specific mark, pieces from these active years are extremely rare and highly sought after by connoisseurs and collectors of antique Amsterdam table silver.
The scoop is richly executed in the characteristic, romantic Biedermeier style. The raised bowl has an elegantly undulating, scalloped edge and features a beautiful central openwork pattern with refined scroll, leaf, and volute motifs. Both the stem and the wide, ergonomically curved handle are adorned with very finely detailed hand engraving that perfectly complements the floral theme. A opulent and functional piece of ornamental silver for serving wet fruit or compote.

This antique silver scoop is fully and clearly hallmarked with the official Dutch silver hallmarks:
