- Beautiful openwork: The deep, spoon-shaped bowl is meticulously pierced by hand in the center with an elegant, symmetrical interweaving of scroll and leaf motifs.
- Richly engraved details: Both the inside of the bowl and the handle feature fabulous engraving. We see refined floral motifs, flower buds, and classic dot and scroll patterns that give the silver texture and depth.
- Pronounced handle: The handle is crafted in a rich design with flowing, undulating contours (profiled edges) and a backward-curved end, which provides a regal appearance and a comfortable grip.
- Tasteful draining: The deep scoop was specifically designed for serving 'wet' or washed fruit, such as fresh strawberries, raspberries, cherries, or fruit preserved in syrup.
- Clever design: Thanks to the large, artful openings in the bottom of the bowl, excess juice or water drains away immediately when serving. This ensures you serve only the fruit, without making the rest of the dessert or pastry soggy.
- Masterful partnership: Jan Hendrik Eversbag and Dirk van Outvorst were known for their high-quality small and large silverwork. Their pieces excelled in detail and closely followed the fashionable Neo-styles and Historicism of the time.
- The maker's mark: Hallmarked with the official maker's mark of the firm: an anchor with the letter E above an & and the letter O in a square.
- Product: Antique silver wet fruit spoon / large wet fruit spoon
- Length: 185 mm (18.5 cm)
- Weight: 45.7 grams (solid, heavy quality)
