Silver needle case with screw cap, made by the silversmith Cornelis van Hoek from Amsterdam. Active from 1786 to 1813. He was a small worker and specialized in loderein boxes and needle cases.
The needle case is hallmarked with the master hallmark CH, the city hallmark of Amsterdam and the date letter v for 1804.
The needle case features a romantic decor with a man and woman. Also features a bust.
The needle case has some light signs of use consistent with its age.
