Rare 17th-century silver miniature spinning wheel, made by the silversmith Wessel Jansen from Amsterdam. Active from 1642 to 1696.

A special and rare collector's item: this 17th-century silver miniature spinning wheel is a beautiful example of Amsterdam's small silver and exceptional craftsmanship in miniature format.

The spinning wheel was crafted by Wessel Jansen (active 1642–1696), a well-known toy maker from Amsterdam. His work is scarce, and signed pieces with clear provenance are highly sought after by collectors.

The miniature is finely and intricately designed, with the various parts of the spinning wheel meticulously elaborated. The object is marked with his maker's mark "W", which enhances its authenticity and collector's value.

A comparable example is included in the standard literature: Klein Zilver by Wttewaall (fig. 1054, p. 340).
