This elegant silver windmill was crafted by the renowned Hoorn silversmith J. Verhoogt. The object features a beautifully worked body with fine vertical lines and windows, standing on an octagonal base. The windmill is placed on a convex, round foot decorated with elegant scroll and floral motifs and rests on subtle ball feet. What makes this miniature extra attractive are the movable filigree-like sails and the detailed tail at the back.
Hallmarked with the historical maker's mark and the legal sword mark for identification of Dutch silver fineness.
