Silver miniature drip tray, attributed to the silversmith 'Master of the Goat' from Amsterdam. Active from 1660 to 1705.

In the book "Dutch Silver Miniatures from the 17th and 18th Century" by John Endlich, this silversmith is described as the Master of the Goat. He writes (p. 22): 'This silversmith can undoubtedly be considered the most important and interesting maker of miniature silver in Amsterdam in the 17th century. His work can be dated up to 1705. Diversity, originality, finesse, and beauty are some characteristics of his work'.

Marked with the master's mark of a goat and an unknown assay mark.

The miniature is intricately designed and is in excellent condition.
