Silver miniature coffee pot – Pieter van Somerwil I, Amsterdam (1706–1753)

Rare 18th century silver miniature coffee pot , made by the Amsterdam silversmith Pieter van Somerwil I. Van Somerwil was active between 1706 and 1753 and was known as a small worker , specialized in so-called poppegoed : finely made silver miniatures.

This charming silver coffee pot features a removable lid and bears the maker's mark with a tree of Pieter van Somerwil I, as well as the city hallmark of Amsterdam . The pot is also hallmarked with the release mark of Alkmaar from 1795 and the crowned O , indicating re-hallmarking and silver purity.

The object is a beautiful example of Dutch silver from the early 18th century and very suitable for collectors of antique silver , miniatures , dollware or Dutch silverware .
