Silver miniature child on a swing, 19th century

Silver miniature of a swinging child made by an unknown silversmith in the 19th century.

The miniature can be dated between 1880 and 1900.

The swing is hallmarked with pseudo-marks. This was done to make a 19th-century silver miniature appear as if it were 18th-century. There was a high demand for 18th-century Dutch silver, especially from England. Pseudo-marks were used to meet this demand. Also hallmarked with the 'sword' mark for at least second-grade silver.

The miniature is in good condition.
