Rare 17th-century silver miniature pail with lid, attributed to Lodewijk Eylof from Amsterdam, active from 1653 to 1698.

An exceptional and refined silver object from the 17th century: this miniature pail on three feet is richly decorated all around and testifies to high-quality craftsmanship. The piece was made by the Amsterdam silversmith Lodewijk Eylof (active approx. 1653–1698), a specialized small worker.

The pail is clearly marked with his maker's mark, a dolphin, which underlines its authenticity and collector's value. Thanks to its original lid and elegant handle, this object has a particularly complete and charming character.

It is in good condition, appropriate for its age, and is a rarely preserved example of fine 17th-century silverwork.
