For the enthusiast of maritime and historical silver, we offer this beautiful, antique silver miniature of a Dutch fishing boat (botter). This extremely refined object was handcrafted around the turn of the century (approx. 1900) by the renowned silversmith Jan Verhoogt from Hoorn (active between 1894 and 1936).
The miniature excels in detailed craftsmanship. From the delicate silver rigging and the texture on the sails to the smoothly shaped hull with leeboards and flags: every detail testifies to the hand of a master ornamental silversmith. The boat is mounted on an elegant swinging bracket, allowing it to be beautifully displayed in a display cabinet.
The object is in excellent antique condition with a beautiful, authentic patina.
