18th-century silver miniature of a broom, made by the Amsterdam silversmith Pieter van Somerwil I. Van Somerwil was active between 1706 and 1753 and was known as a "kleinwerker" (maker of small objects), specializing in so-called doll's accoutrements: finely crafted silver miniatures.

This finely crafted miniature bears the tree maker's mark of Pieter van Somerwil I, as well as the city mark of Amsterdam.

The object is a beautiful example of Dutch silver from the early 18th century and very suitable for collectors of antique silver, miniatures, doll's accoutrements or Dutch silverware.
