Silver knife handle with steel blade, 17th century

17 ^th Century silver knife handle with steel blade. Crowned with a dog as a sign of loyalty.

The knife handle has not been marked, but has the inscription: Elvren Annes, 1681. Probably from Friesland.

The silver knife handle has a simple band decoration of leaves.

The steel blade is original and marked with F. Herder.

Length of the knife: 23 cm. Weight: 59.7 grams.
