Silver knife with band decoration, Amsterdam, 1748

^18th century silver knife handle with steel blade. Crowned with a dog as a sign of loyalty.

The knife handle is marked with the Amsterdam city hallmark and an unclear maker's mark. Also hallmarked with the year letter O for 1748.

The silver knife handle has a simple band decoration of leaves.

The steel blade is original and belongs to the knife handle. This has also been (unclear) inspected.

Length of the knife: 16.5 cm. Weight: 27.5 grams.
