Antique silver loderein box made by Chr. J. Brunings from Joure. Active from 1849. The box is hallmarked with the second grade hallmark, Minerva head, date letter X for 1859 and master hallmark B77.
The loderein box has a unique decoration of sheep. Probably made on order for a farmer.
The box has signs of use consistent with its age, but is still in good condition overall.
Weight: 29.2 grams. Dimensions are 3.5 x 4.5 x 4.5 cm.
