Silver tablespoon, made by the silversmith Paul Clausen from Amsterdam. He was active from 1754 to 1772.

Paul Clausen was a spoon maker, specializing in forged cutlery.

He lived and worked from Barndesteeg.

The spoon is hallmarked with the first standard mark, Amsterdam city mark, year letter D for 1763, and the maker's mark PC.

The spoon features an Amsterdam double acanthus leaf pattern.

In good condition.
