Silver spoon made by the silversmith Martinus Reyken or Rieken from Emden, Germany. Born in 1765 in Freepsum as the son of a minister. Died in 1818 in Emden.
The spoon has an accolade-shaped handle end.

The initials JH and MS are engraved on the end of the handle. This spoon was probably given as a wedding spoon. The year 1785 is also engraved.
