Silver spoon made by the well-known firm of Koch & Bergfeld from Bremen, active from 1859. The shopkeeper who sold it was the Friedländer brothers from Berlin. They were active from 1829 to 1938.

This company has a rich history, the highlight of which was its service as a court supplier to Emperor Wilhelm I.

The spoon is hallmarked with the Koch & Bergfeld maker's mark and the Friedländer retailer's mark. Polish hallmarks have also been stamped: the Warsaw city hallmark, the owl as a 'Lombard' hallmark, which indicates that this object was permitted for trading after World War II, and a star.

In good condition.

Weight: 40.4 grams. Length: 17 cm.
