Silver spoon, Callot / Paris, 19th century

Worked silver spoon by the Parisian silversmith Callot from France.

The spoon has been tested with various marks. Including the French bigorne on the back of the container. The bowl of the spoon is marked on the front with the quality mark minervakkopje 2 for 800/1000 and the master mark of Callot.

Furthermore, the container has a mark with the Dutch tax mark which was used between 1893 and 1905.

Both the stem and the bowl are finely engraved with floral motifs.

Dating from the end of the 19th century.
