Silver Yom Kippur buckle, Gebr. Niekerk, Groningen, 1909

Robust very detailed silver buckle decorated with both Moses and Aaron. The buckle is made by the fa. Gebr. Niekerk from Groningen, active from 1902 to 1927.

The buckle is marked with the master mark N2, second fineness mark, Minerva head and date letter Z for 1909.

The molds of the Bible locks were probably used to make the buckle, because the Bible locks are also often decorated with these images.

This is a large buckle with dimensions of: 17 x 6.2 cm.
