Silver ice spoon or scoop made by the silversmith Jan Abraham Lintveld (or Lintvelt) Sr from Amsterdam. He was active between 1833 and 1864.

In the 19th century, the Lintveld family was among the leading silversmiths in Amsterdam. The patriarch, Harmanus Lintveld, already supplied exclusive shops such as As Bonebakker & Zoon. His successor, Jan Abraham Lintveld Sr., specialized, among other things, in luxurious serving spoons and scoops.

Hallmarked with master's mark AL with anchor, second grade mark, year letter K for 1844, and Minerva head mark.

What makes this spoon extra special is the richly decorated handle with refined engraving and relief in Biedermeier style, which was hand-chased at the time.

In good condition.

Weight: 75.1 grams. Length: 20 cm.
