Silver handle with 20 equestrian buttons, H. Adema, Leeuwarden.

Silver handle made of 20 antique Frisian horse buttons.

A number of equestrian buttons are hallmarked with the hallmark HA 183 of the silversmith H. Adema from Leeuwarden, active from 1846. Furthermore an unknown master hallmark. (18th century?)

The rider buttons vary in size. The smallest has a diameter of 2 cm, the largest 2.8 cm.

Originally the handle was attached to a scale. The handle could possibly be used for that purpose again. Is in excellent condition.

The handle weighs: 125.4 grams and has a length of: 50 cm.
