Silver handle made of silver Bible clasps and 4 antique Frisian horse buttons.

The equestrian buttons are hallmarked with the master's mark: Flower on stem, belonging to the silversmith Johannes Andringa from Leeuwarden / Franeker (Voet B 121 / 415). He was active from 1760 to approx. 1796. In 1769 he became a citizen and master in Franeker.

The Bible locks are not hallmarked, but they do have a dotted engraving with the year 1793 and the initials TL.

Originally the handle was attached to a scale. The handle could possibly be used for that again.

The handle is in excellent condition.

The handle weighs: 95.1 grams and has a length of: 40 cm.
