Silver handle made of silver Bible clasps and 4 antique Frisian horse buttons.

The equestrian buttons are hallmarked with the master's mark: Bunch of grapes, belonging to the silversmith Allert Wijngaarden from Leeuwarden (Voet B 105). He was active from 1748 to approx. 1772.

The Bible locks are not hallmarked, but they do have a dotted engraving with the year 1793 and the initials TL.

Originally the handle was attached to a scale. The handle could possibly be used for that again.

The handle is in excellent condition.

The handle weighs: 95.1 grams and has a length of: 40 cm.
