Silver miniature hanging trivet, attributed to silversmith Bartholt Nickels from Deventer. Active from 1673 to 1713.
In 1677 Barthold Nickels was one of the Olderluiden of the guild. He had been guardian of the children of another silversmith from Deventer, namely Gerhard Gelinck.
The hanging trivet is hallmarked with the master hallmark BI (Deventer guild plate no. 19) and date letter R for 1693.
